This Privacy Policy describes how Ask Helping Hand, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website or request a callback for information and referrals.

1. Information We Collect

When you call us or submit a callback request, we collect:

Contact information (name, email, phone, location)
Household information (size, composition)
Employment and income information (for matching to programs)
Description of your situation and the topics you're seeking referrals about

We may automatically collect:

Browser type, device, and operating system
IP address (used for security and abuse prevention)
Pages visited on our site

2. How We Use Information

To identify the right federal programs, state agencies, and local resources to refer you to

To follow up and confirm you got through to the programs we referred
To improve our service
To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Information

We never sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with insurance partners, lead-gen networks, marketing companies, or any third party for their own use.

Submissions from our contact form are stored in a private Google Sheets workspace we use to track callback requests internally. Google Workspace is our infrastructure provider only — they do not use your information for advertising or any other purpose, and access is restricted to our team.

The only other situations in which we may disclose information are:

For legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or a government request directed to us.

Important: Government agencies and programs (211, LIHEAP, USDA, HUD, SNAP, Medicaid, etc.) that we refer you to are contacted by you directly. We do not transmit your information to those programs on your behalf. You will share information with them yourself, on their terms.

4. SMS / Phone Communications

If you opt in to SMS or phone communications, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We will only contact you regarding your referral request — we do not send marketing messages.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as needed to address your request and to comply with legal obligations. The length of time depends on the nature of your inquiry. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

You have the right to:

Access the information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Opt out of communications at any time

7. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to delete personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Our service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data.
